Our Story
KOTA Construction & Restoration was built on a simple belief: remodeling should be done with care, intention, and respect for the people who live in the home.
Les Ditmars is the owner and craftsman behind KOTA. With over 30 years of hands-on construction experience, he has built a strong understanding of multiple trades and takes pride in delivering detailed, high-quality work done the right way.
The name KOTA represents something deeply personal. Each letter represents the name of one of his four sons. Family has always been at the center of this business and two of Les’s sons occasionally work alongside him on projects. The company reflects the values Les hopes to pass down: skilled craftsmanship, strong work ethic, integrity, and a dedication to delivering work that lasts.
What began as a passion for building and hands-on construction grew into a business focused on helping homeowners create spaces that truly support how they live. Over time, Les saw that remodeling is about more than materials and construction— it’s about turning a house into a home.
we don’t just build houses…
we create homes that feel right, function beautifully, and stand strong.
our how & why
We approach each project with hands-on involvement, practical problem-solving skills, and experience built from years of construction and remodeling work across multiple trades. We work closely with homeowners throughout the process, helping them make thoughtful decisions that balance design, function, and durability. The focus is on creating spaces that feel natural to live in, perform reliably, and maintain their quality and value long after the project is complete.
